Here in Ontario it is a holiday today....Family Day! I love long weekends because they provide a nice little reprieve from the usual schedule, but I also love the concept of a family day...a time set aside to spend with family and loved ones. Most holidays are family events, but I love the idea of an entire day dedicated to just that. My mom came to visit and helped me re-pot some of my house plants and also came with me on a little thrifting trip. So far this long weekend has been great, and I'm looking forward to spending today with my handsome man. Here's a little glimpse into what I've been up to this holiday weekend:
Polka-dot manicure! |
Gluten-free cinnamon raisin bread! |
Thrifted items: handmade crochet pieces, vintage framed pope poster, framed child print |
Thrifted items: yellow porcelain egg cups, 1970's pottery mugs |
My mom trimming down my Yucca plant |
The little Yucca babies growing quickly! |
It's hard to believe that I still have the rest of today for my long weekend. I've done so much already! I hope that you are having a great Family Day if you have this holiday, and if not I hope that you still get to spend time with some people you love!
I have just discovered your blog and I love it! It's so beautiful :) . You’ve got a new follower, Lo!
